FDA causes Hydroxycut Product Recall

by Brad

If any of you have not been taking my advice and jumped on the most popular fat loss supplements you need to read this article. Basically the FDA has determined that the weight loss products by Hydroxycut have caused liver failure in some patients and forced the company to recall 14 of its supplements.

The thing you need to understand about supplements it that they are not FDA approved products, legal prescriptions, or over the counter medicine. Supplements are considered in the same class as vitamins which pretty much means that they can roll out new products as often as they want with very little testing or proof to their claims. Diet pills, weight loss supplements, fat burners, etc… simply do not work. There is no magic pill you can take that will allow you to avoid proper diet and exercise.

I’m not bashing all supplements because there are some good ones that really help like Creatine, a good multi-vitamin, and protein shakes but that is about it. These products that come out and claim to burn fat and build muscle while you sit on the couch are at best a waste of money and at worse could cause serious medical problems or death. Be careful and put in the effort that is required to be healthy.
